Online program. Received phone call and an admit letter to sign via email. Declined since I've already committed to another program.
To posters asking why people who have committed are still on waitlists, I would suggest that funding has something to do with it. I was not on a waitlist, but it took forever to hear back and I had to make a decision. I held off declining because I was waiting to see if I got a better financial aid deal (I didn't). Some people are also waiting to hear from their dream schools, and although frustrating for those who are waitlisted I think people have the right to give themselves options.

Submitted application 1/17, did not attend open house. Overall GPA 3.89 (out of major); SLP prereq GPA 4.0; GRE 170V/161Q/4.5AW, lots of volunteer/leadership/research experience including undergrad thesis in child lang. acquisition. To answer someone's question, don't remember ever seeing it change to "under departmental review", and I've been checking it every day. Decision just came up on my portal today.

Elated, this is the program I had that “gut feeling” about! Nontraditional student, first undergrad institution was in Saint Paul, MN. Diverse life experiences, lots of clinical and volunteer hours in the field, four strong LOR.

Factors that may have affected my application: I did the Post-Baccalaureate Capstone in CSD at UW-Madison. Got a 4.0 for fall semester 2017 in that program. Bilingual Spanish/English (I was a Spanish major for undergrad). Volunteered at a hospital last summer.

Master Of Science

A Master of Science (Latin: Magister Scientiae; abbreviated MS, M.S., MSc, M.Sc., SM, S.M., ScM or Sc.M.) is a master's degree in the field of science awarded by universities in many countries or a person holding such a degree. In contrast to the Master of Arts degree, the Master of Science degree is typically granted for studies in sciences, engineering and medicine and is usually for programs that are more focused on scientific and mathematical subjects; however, different universities have different conventions and may also offer the degree for fields typically considered within the humanities and social sciences. While it ultimately depends upon the specific program, earning a Master of Science degree typically includes writing a thesis.

Graduate Record Examination

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is globally accepted for admissions to graduate and PhD programs. GRE scores are used for cutoffs only. A good GRE score will not guarantee admission to top colleges, but a low GRE score can definitely disqualify you from considering your application.
